Volodymyr Danylowytsch Romanenko ( Ukrainian Володимир Данилович Романенко ; born August 13, 1992 in Tozkoye , Russia ) is a Ukrainian ice hockey player who has played at CSM Dunărea Galați in the Romanian ice hockey league since 2017 .

Career

Volodymyr Romanenko, who was born in Tozkoye, Russia, began his career at HK Kharkiv . In 2008 he moved to HK Sokil Kiev , where he first played for its second team in the Ukrainian league , but was also used in the Belarusian extra league in the 2009/10 season . 2010 moved to the Belarusian league competitor Metallurg Schlobin for one year . He then returned to Ukraine and, after having played a game for HK Donbass Donetsk , moved to HK Berkut from the Ukrainian ice hockey league . He spent the 2013/14 season at VEU Feldkirch in the Austrian Inter-National League . After gaming operations in Ukraine were resumed, he joined HK Kremenchuk in early 2015 . In 2017 he moved to the Romanian ice hockey league , where he first played at CS Progym Gheorgheni . In November 2017, he went to league competitor CSM Dunărea Galați .

International

Romanenko represented his home country in the junior division at the U18 World Championships in 2008 , 2009 (each in Division I) and 2010 (in Division II) as well as the U20 World Championships in 2010 , 2011 , when he was voted the best player on his team (each in Division I) and 2012 (in Division II).

He made his debut in the men's national team in February 2016 at the age of 23 in qualifying for the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang . Although the Ukrainians in the first qualifying round short of Japan failed, he was I for the tournament in Group B Division World Cup 2016 nominated and reached with his team to promotion to the Group A Division I. Also in the 2018 World Cup he played in Division I.
