World Team Challenge 2012

The 11th World Team Challenge 2012 (officially: R (H) EINPOWER-Biathlon-WTC 12 ) was a biathlon competition that took place on December 29, 2012 in the Veltins-Arena in Gelsenkirchen .

The winner was the Russian team with Anton Schipulin and Jekaterina Jurlowa . It was the third time after 2007 and 2010 that a Russian team won the event.

In addition, a farewell race was organized for Magdalena Neuner, who retired in March 2012, with active and former world cup runners and training partners.

Attendees

A total of ten teams with participants from nine nations started. For Michael Greis it was not only his eleventh participation in this event, but also the last biathlon competition of his successful career.
