Yasuhira Inaba ( Japanese 稲 葉 泰 弘 , Inaba Yasuhiro ; born October 21, 1985 in Ibaraki Prefecture ) is a Japanese wrestler . He won a bronze medal at the 2010 free style bantamweight championship .

Career

Yasuhira Inaba attended Kasumigaura High School in Ami in Ibaraki Prefecture on Honshu Island and began wrestling there as a teenager in 2000. He concentrated entirely on the free style. After high school, he attended Senshu University in Chiyoda , Tokyo, and entered the police force after graduation. He is therefore a member of the Metropolitan Police Department Wrestling Club Tokyo . His trainer is Masakazu Hirakata. The 1.62 meter tall athlete weighs around 60 kg and competes in bantamweight championships, the weight class with a weight limit of 55 kg.

Yasuhira Inaba celebrated his first major success in 2003 when he took 1st place at the national high school championships (championship of Japanese high school wrestlers) in the weight class up to 54 kg body weight. In 2004 he took 3rd place in the Japanese Student Championship and also achieved this place in the Japanese Championship, in which he participated for the first time. He placed himself behind Tomohiro Matsunaga and Seshito Shimizu in the bantamweight division .

In 2005 he was Japanese runner-up in bantamweight behind Tomohiro Matsunaga . He started this year at the Junior World Championships in Vilnius and reached the bantamweight final with four wins, in which he was defeated by the top Russian wrestler Bessik Kuduchow .

In the years 2006 to 2009 Yasuhiro Inaba could always assert himself in the front field at the Japanese championships. However, he did not succeed in winning the Japanese championship title in those years, which was due to the fact that Japan has three world-class wrestlers in this weight class with Tomohiro Matsunaga , Hideki Taoka and Shinichi Yumoto , of which at least one is always ahead at the Japanese championships of those years Inaba placed. As a result, he did not appear at the international championships, but started at many high-level international tournaments and achieved many good successes there.

In 2008 Inaba started at the Universities World Championship in Thessaloniki and won the bantamweight there in front of such good wrestlers as Mikhail Sakharov , Russia , Alexander Chawilow , Ukraine and Wladislaw Andrejew from Belarus .

In 2009 Yasuhiro Inaba finally succeeded in becoming the Japanese bantamweight champion and in 2010 he was used for the first time at a world championship. In Moscow he came to victories over Ibrahim Farag Abdelhakim, Egypt , Aslan Tschanachanow, Kazakhstan , John Pineda , Canada and Obenson Blanc from the United States. In the semifinals of the World Cup he lost to Toğrul Əsgərov from Azerbaijan . In the battle for a world championship bronze medal , he managed to beat Bajaraagiin Naranbaatar from Mongolia .
