Yasin el Harrouk (* 1991 in Stuttgart ), also known by his stage name Yonii , is a German - Moroccan theater actor , film actor and musician .

life and career

El Harrouk was born in Germany to a Moroccan guest worker family and grew up with six siblings in Stuttgart-Feuerbach . After attending secondary school, he lived in Morocco for four years and then came back to Stuttgart. There he studied drama at the Stuttgart University of Music and Performing Arts .

He played at various theaters, including the Schauspiel Stuttgart , where he gave the role of Can in the stage performance Wut in 2009 under the direction of Volker Lösch . In 2011 he took part in the recital Anywhere but here by the director Nina Wurman at the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe and in the performance O father, poor father at the Wilhelma-Theater in Stuttgart . In 2012 he gave a guest appearance at the Freiburg Theater and played there is no turning back - before / after by Jennifer Grünewald .

In 2014 he played Romeo in the Shakespeare adaptation Selam Habibi in Basel at the Volksbühne. He made his debut in a title role in 2015 with Shakespeare's Othello at the Münster Theater . In the 2015/2016 season, el Harrouk embodies Jochanaan in a new production by Salome at the Stuttgart Opera .

He became known to a larger audience in 2014 through a leading role in the crime scene crime scene: Der Wüstensohn .

He has been under contract with the record label Kopfticker Records since 2016 .
