Youssouf Sabaly (born March 5, 1993 in Chesnay ) is a French football player . He currently plays for Girondins Bordeaux in Ligue 1 . He plays as a full-back .

Career

Youssouf Sabaly began his professional career in the youth of Paris Saint-Germain . Since he could not assert himself here with the professionals, however, he was loaned to FC Évian Thonon Gaillard in 2013 , where he performed well and was therefore loaned for another year. He is currently on loan to FC Nantes , for whom he plays in Ligue 1 . For the 2016/17 season Sabaly moved to Girondins Bordeaux on loan .

On November 10, 2017, Sabaly made his debut in a 2-0 win against South Africa as part of the World Cup qualification for the Senegalese national team . He then made the leap into the Senegalese squad for the 2018 World Cup . In the second group game, the 2-2 win against Japan , he gave the template for the interim 1-0 lead. Senegal was eliminated from the tournament because of the fair play rating.
