François Kamano (born May 1, 1996 in Kindia ) is a Guinean football player .

Career in the club

Kamano first grew up in Kindia and came in 2010 for reasons of his education and his further development in football in the Guinean capital Conakry , where he joined the Satellite FC . In the course of the 2012/13 season, the youngster was already used in its senior team and played a not inconsiderable role for the first division team in reaching second place in the table. In this way he came into the focus of European talent scouts and was allowed to present himself at AIK Solna , FC Villarreal and the Stade Rennes . Ultimately, it was the French first division club SC Bastia from the island of Corsica who took him on to his reserve team on a trial basis in January 2014. The following summer, it became known that the then 18-year-old had a four-year contract with the professional club. The transfer fee due to the Satellite FC is estimated at 250,000 euros.

He made his debut in the top French division on August 9, 2014, when he came on as a substitute in a 3-3 draw against Olympique Marseille in the 81st minute. In the following time he mostly found himself in the position of the right winger and was regularly called up as such. He revealed both his physical strength and qualities in dribbling, while on the other hand there were a number of ball losses. In 2016 he moved to league rivals Girondins Bordeaux for an estimated fee of 2.5 million euros .

National team

Shortly after his 17th birthday, Kamano made his debut on July 6, 2013 in a 3-1 loss to Mali for the Guinean national team . Regular appointments were not made until he was accepted into the squad for the 2015 African Cup of Nations. In the course of the tournament he was called up twice and reached the quarter-finals with his team. As a result, he was regularly appointed to the national team, including at the 2017 African Cup.
