Due to the different track widths of the railway line Budapest - Debrecen - Moscow is a hub necessary, the on the Hungarian side in Záhony Area ( marshalling yard Fényeslitke, Komoró, Tuzsér , marshalling yard Eperjeske was built). On the other side of the border, the transshipment point was built mainly before 1976 in the Chop area ( Ukrainian Чоп ,
Hungarian Csap ). On the Hungarian side, the transhipment is operated by the Hungarian State Railways (MÁV). Cross-border freight traffic by road has developed enormously.
