Zündapp ZD 50 TS
Fully original ZD 50.

The ZD 50 TS was Zündapp's top-of-the-line moped model in 1979 and 1980 and was then replaced by the CS 25 .

The ZD 50 TS was a further development of the ZD 25 TS ; its visually disturbing hole below the bench was closed with two side covers, behind which there was a storage compartment. Characteristic for the ZD 50 TS - at that time atypical for mopeds - the overhead tank and the adjoining bench seat. This concept was later used in a similar way by other manufacturers - including the Hercules G3, Kreidler Flott or KTM SM 25 models. As with all ZD models, the engine is suspended without frame beams.

The term "ZD" derives from Z entral D jerk cast frame from the "TS" stands for T ouring- S port The number "50" refers to neither capacity nor speed, but has -. As well as on all remaining models of ZD-series (ZD 10/20/25/30 and 40) - no specific meaning.
