history

In 1742 the place with most of Silesia came to Prussia. In 1753 the tobacco pipe factory was founded. The place was mentioned in 1783 in the book Beytrage describing Silesia as Zborowsky and belonged to a Herr von Jeanneret and was in the Lublinitz district (Lublinetz) of the Principality of Opole . At that time he had a farm, a tobacco pipe factory, 31 farmers, 20 gardeners , six cottagers and 341 residents. The tobacco pipe factory included several houses with 64 residents, which were built separately. These were mostly inhabited by Protestant German-speaking residents. In 1865 Zborowski consisted of a manor and a village. At that time, the place had 105 possessions, including 22 farms, five half-farmers, 34 outdoor gardeners and 44 cottagers. Some of the residents went to work in the nearby mines and smelting works. At that time the school had 226 students. In addition to the actual village, the hamlets Zborowski, Erisch, Kierschki, Statek and Schwierz, as well as the individual houses Kolanus, Kopanina, Sucholonka, Brewkowe, Filla, Jenczowski, Kaczmarzik, Leng, Paris, Pienki and Spiewok also belonged. The manor belonged to the Minerva corporation and had a blast furnace, two fresh fires, a brick factory, ore and clay mines, as well as 33 residential buildings, including seven civil servants 'homes, a Kretscham (restaurant) and 25 workers' apartments. The Vorwerke Brzezinken, Gaschinka and Neuhof belonged to the manor.

In the referendum in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921, 314 eligible voters voted for Upper Silesia to remain with Germany and 282 for membership in Poland. At Gut Sorowski, 14 voted for Germany and 33 for Poland. Sorowski remained with the German Empire after the division of Upper Silesia . In 1936 the place was renamed to Ostenwalde as part of a wave of renaming during the Nazi era . Until 1945 the place was in the district of Loben (meanwhile in the district of Guttentag ).

In 1945 the previously German town came under Polish administration and was then attached to the Silesian Voivodeship and renamed the Polish Zborowskie . In 1950 the place came to the Katowice Voivodeship . In 1975 the place came to the newly founded Voivodeship Czestochowa . In 1999 the place came to the re-established Powiat Lubliniecki and to the new Silesian Voivodeship.
