action

The story begins with Kabir proposing marriage to Natasha. Kabir then organizes a three-week stag party in Spain . His best friends Imran and Arjun accompany him on this road trip through the Iberian Peninsula . He explains to Natasha that the trip had been planned for a long time and that they had made a pact: everyone chooses an adventurous sport that all three boys will try out together.

Arjun, who is a stockbroker by profession and a workaholic, wanted to call off the trip first because he has a problem with Imraan: he had taken Arjun's girlfriend four years ago.

The trip is of personal importance to Imraan, as he only recently learned of his biological father, the painter Salman Habib, who lives in Spain.

In Spain the journey begins on the Costa Brava : before Barcelona they try the first sport: diving. For Arjun, who cannot swim and is very afraid of water, it takes a lot of effort. Only with the help of the diving instructor Laila can he overcome his fear and has a breathtaking experience: all these years he was so busy making money that he had forgotten how to live. He falls in love with the beautiful diving instructor who teaches him to enjoy life.

Because of her, they stop in Buñol on the way to Seville to take part in the Tomatina Festival. On the way back to the hotel they meet Natasha in the lobby. She is jealous of Laila and that's why she set off. While Kabir calms down his fiancée, Arjun spends time with Laila and Imraan with Nuria, Laila's Spanish friend.

After Kabir calms Natasha down, they take her to the airport the next day. Then they go to Seville to try out Arjun's selected sport. He chose skydiving, which Imraan doesn't like at all. But as soon as this is done, they celebrate in a small bar. After a small argument, they get into a fight and are taken away by the police.

Imraan first mentions his father in prison, who pays bail for all three and then drives them home. Father and son talk there. Imraan realizes that his father's freedom was more important than his own son. He is injured and for the first time Imraan apologizes to Arjun wholeheartedly for his misconduct with Arjun's girlfriend.

But Kabir is depressed, which the two friends do not miss. Only after being asked several times does he admit that he actually didn't want to propose to Natasha: at a birthday party he showed her a ring that he actually wanted to give to his mother. Only Natasha took this as a marriage proposal. He loves her, but she has changed and he doesn't want to break her heart with a breakup.

The last sporting event will take place in Pamplona . Imraan decided to run the bull. At first Arjun and Kabir protest because they think this is madness. Nevertheless, the next morning everyone is standing in front of the starting line. Before starting, Imraan suggests making a new pact: all three should follow their heart's desires. Imraan promises to publish his poetic poems, which he wrote throughout the trip. Arjun vows to travel to Morocco with Laila and marry her. And Kabir wants to break off the engagement to Natasha.

After the dangerous race, all three are proud to have reached their destination unscathed. But also proud of all the experiences they have lived through in such a short time. In the end everyone celebrates Arjun and Laila's wedding - not Kabir and Natasha's wedding as expected.

criticism

"Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara" seems a bit too banal, is a little too long, has its too fake moments. But in front of a beautiful holiday backdrop, a classic yet modern feel-good film reveals itself, a film with a high-quality, mature look and pretty songs.
