The Aragarten settlement, which is somewhat remote from the actual place, also belongs to the cadastral community.
Unlike the other cadastral communities in the market town of Hausleiten , Zissersdorf belongs to the Stockerau postal delivery district and therefore has the zip code of 2000.
history
Its origin is closely related to the town of Zistersdorf and the village of Zissersdorf in the northern Waldviertel. The derivation of the name of the three Zissersdorf from a Slavic root should not be correct. Places named with the personal name Zisso, Zistan, Zistin exist in the Mühlkreis and in southern Styria , as well as in Bavaria and the Rhineland . In 1280 a Wolfgerus de Cysteinsdorf appears and in 1456 a Wolfgang, the Zistersdorfer, who sat on Merkersdorf and bequeathed his property here (mill, Meierhof and pond behind the village) to the Lords of Fronau.
