Zvolenská kotlina
The Zvolenská kotlina (dt. About Altsohler Kessel ) is a depression located in central Slovakia , which is counted as a geomorphological unit of the Slovak Central Uplands . This means that it is also part of the Inner Western Carpathians .

Only a few sections of the boiler - e.g. B. the surroundings of the river Hron near Sliač - correspond to a plain in the real sense. The largest share in terms of area is taken up by mountain and hill country. The region is characterized by meadows and deciduous forests.
The sink is limited
- in the north of the Starohorské vrchy ,
- in the east from the Slovak Ore Mountains with the Veporské vrchy mountain range and the Poľana volcanic mountain range ,
- in the southeast of the Ostrôžky Mountains ,
- in the southwest of the Javorie Mountains and
- to the west of the Kremnické vrchy mountains .

- Bystrické podolie - about the valley of the Hron between SLOVENSKÁ ĽUPČA and Banská Bystrica corresponding
- Sliačska kotlina - the valley of the Hron river between Banská Bystrica and Zvolen
- Slatinská kotlina - the plain north of the Zvolenská Slatina municipality
- Povraznícka brázda - depression in the east of the region
- Detvianska kotlina - depression around the city of Detva
- Bystrická vrchovina - hill country east of Banská Bystrica
- Ponická vrchovina - range of hills south of the municipality of Poniky
- Zvolenská pahorkatina - hill country northeast of Zvolen
- Rohy - hill country west of Detva
