Nice! A much more proffesional look now. But to be honest, it does seem like a cross between Chamal's current one, and La Pianista's too :p. Blooded EdgeSign/Talk 17:53, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sure will, I presume this has something to do with brushing yourself up for your upcoming RfA? Blooded EdgeSign/Talk 17:47, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Not really. My "brushing up" takes the form of XfD's, though I have to say, I'm not quite used to it (yet).
Sig making is something that I got interested in when I made one for my friend User:Amulet Heart and another one for my adoptee, User:Valce1. I thought it was fun, and it might be something for me to do on the side. :) —LaPianista(T•C•S•R) 19:00, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

39 of 393 articles have been prepared and submitted. Come help us prepare more at the workshop page.
Feature: Wikipedia 0.7
Wikipedia 0.7 is a collection of articles taken from the English version of Wikipedia, compiled by the Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team. It is designed for a DVD release, and the selection was put together using a Selection Bot, based on the quality and importance assigned by WikiProjects.
The Video games Project and its daughter projects have multiple articles among the selection and are currently working on cleaning up the articles to improve their presentation. A workshop page has been set up that is designed to assist and coordinate the effort. The status of and recommendations for articles is listed on the table. Discussion about which articles should be kept and removed from the list have been taking place on the talk page.
If you have assisted in working on and improving a current Featured article, Good article, or A-Class article, please check the workshop page to see if the article is recommended for inclusion.
Articles will need an id version submitted to ensure it is included. They will also need to be cleaned up if maintenance tags and other issues are present. Participation is not restricted, and if you can assist with the preparation effort, it would be greatly appreciated.
Things to remember for preparation
The workshop page has a notes section for each article. Clean up suggestions have been left for some articles.
Do a light sweep of the article to address any vandalism andclean up tags: citation needed, more references, lengthy plot, etc.
If you need help with an article, post on the talk page.

The 1995 Pacific Grand Prix (formally the II Pacific Grand Prix) was a Formula One motor race held on October 22, 1995 at the TI Circuit, Aida, Japan. It was the 15th race of the 1995 Formula One season. The race, contested over 83 laps, was won by Michael Schumacher for the Benetton team after starting from third position. David Coulthard, who started the Grand Prix from pole position, finished second in a Williams car, with Damon Hill third in the other Williams. Schumacher's win confirmed him as 1995 Drivers' Champion as Hill could not pass Schumacher's points total with only two races remaining.
Hill started the race alongside Coulthard on the front row, amidst pressure from the British media for not being "forceful" enough in battles. Schumacher attempted to drive around the outside of Hill at the first corner, but Hill held Schumacher off as Jean Alesi, driving for Ferrari got past both on the inside line to take second position. As a result, Hill dropped down to third and Schumacher dropped down to fifth behind Gerhard Berger. Schumacher managed to get past Alesi and Hill during the first of three pit stops. This allowed him, on a new set of slick tyres, to close on Coulthard who was on a two-stop strategy. Schumacher opened up a gap of 21 seconds by lapping two seconds faster per lap than Coulthard, so that when his third stop came, he still led the race.
*Hamilton was given a 25 second + to his racing time demoting him to 3rd place gifting Felipe Massa the win 1. McLaren appealed with hard evidence 2. Timo Glock also recieved this penalty for overtaking under the yellow flag dropping him to ninth place out of the points.
Hi, maybe it's just a firefox thing but your signature looks huge on the RFA page and indeed the latter entries here. You might like to think about taking it down a notch. Nick mallory (talk) 05:49, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It isn't just a firefox thing, because it's a huge signature in IE7, as well. It messes up the lines of text and makes what's below hard to read: particularly noticeable on the RfA page. Have a peek at the signatures page, especially this section, which discourages big signatures. (Also, I know it's really picky, but there are self-injurers on Wikipedia and your signature (really big, really red, "blooded edge") could be considered "insensitive".) Just two-pence for you, :-) Maedin\talk 09:45, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, sorry for any disruption caused guys. When I first implemented it at size two, it was just too small for my liking. Thats why I took it up to five, anyway, I'll bring it down to three now. Thanks for voicing your concerns :). Blooded EdgeSign/Talk 17:58, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for responding so well, :-) I appreciate your willingness to make it smaller. Maedin\talk 18:07, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The trouble with the Chiller font is that making the size too small, means the resulting text is hardly visible. Increasing the size figure in turn, makes the resulting text a bit too big. It isn't easy finding a decent comprimise XD. Blooded EdgeSign/Talk 18:09, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Navjot Singh
Dear Sir or Madam
Firstly you should not have any doubts on Navjot Singh's notability. We are talking about a first rate author who has contributed to society. He deserves more mention than he gets...the most likely reason maybe that his name is not "British", and institutional racism can be a problem- so people may not prefer a guy with a name like Navjot Singh to be mentioned as a "British Author"...if this is the case then its sad that this still happens in the 21st century (I hope I am not being paranoid or thinking wrongfully)
Secondly this has got nothing to do with Dulwich Coll. or Navjot Singh himself...I am in fact a friend of his who has known him a long time. He has worked hard to where he has got to. This is not to show off about his achievements or to promote his book or services, but to give a simple message that here is a guy of non-white origins who has written and done something about China, and it is very rare for a Indian man to write good things about China because normally its only white western people who write things about China, and believe it or not the Chinese and Indian cultures do not get along, so in actual fact Navjot Singh has done something which is rare, for an Indian to have a deep passion and interest in China....don't you think thats something special that he is actually making a contribution to bring a true sense of multiculturalism into this world? We would highly appreciate if you can please reinstate his profile. Its not a bad thing, its a good thing....we dont have a website where we can promote his services...thats a pity on our behalf...
I am sorry I mentioned that I started the profile of Navjot Singh...it was has cousin...but there are 2 of us on this...
Thanks for your understanding and effort. I am sure you are a nice person who understands

The Random Acts of Kindness Barnstar
For surprising me at a completely random time with such a pleasant message, i think that handing out this star is no more then justified :) Excirial (Contact me,Contribs) 20:38, 11 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I'm equally delighted at your own presentation of the RAK star! Thanks very much! I'm suprised no-one gave you the userpage award earlier, to be unaware of its existance is mind-boggling! BloodedEdgeawards 20:43, 11 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Might have something to do with that i mainly work with vandals, who aren't that likely to give out stars ;). More serious again, this is actually quite the rare star. From what i can count it has only been given to about 300 ish wikipedians in its 2+ years of existence. Maybe that is also a reason i never saw it before: The only time i need to look at WP:BARN is when i need the code to award a star, or need to look up a very specific star. Excirial (Contact me,Contribs) 20:50, 11 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I'd have thought you may have saw it when skimming through WP:BS, but alas. Anywho, how do you know the number of users who have been awarded a specific 'star? Is it guesswork, or is there a special programme for doing so? BloodedEdgeawards 20:52, 11 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ah my friend, that is a highly secret method that also tells me there are at least 6 people that directly duplicated my navigation bar or entire userpage for their own purposes. But no, its actually just a simple trick. I assume that this image is virtually exclusively used in the barnstar template, which means that about every image on every page is an award (Of course its possible people have them in their talk page archives and on a seperate page, or they use the image outside the template, but that should be minor). All you need to do is get the full list of where the image is linked to and then scroll around it. In this case i noticed i could click "Next 100" a total of three times, so there are 300 instances of that image around wikipedia, thus around 300 awards :). I am pretty sure there is also a program for this, but this is the easiest way to get an estimate ;) Excirial (Contact me,Contribs) 21:01, 11 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Aah I see, clever thinking, I can see the logic behind your methods. Considering there must be at least a few hundred thousand active editors around Wikipedia, only 300 or so getting the userpage award is hugely dis-proportionate. I guess people just can't be bothered to spend 10-15 seconds handing it out, or maybe only a hand-full of Wikipedians actually have a decent page. Still, I find it tiring to think about it :(. BloodedEdgeawards 21:05, 11 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
153,549 active editors on a total population of 8,029,147 to be precise. Actually, i think the main problem is little people know the star. I have seen quite a few nice talk and user pages, but since i never even knew the star, i never awarded it. Also, don't forget that a star such as the vandalism barnstar is placed as a reaction (someone removes vandalism from a talk page and the owner gives a star in appreciation). A userpage ia kind of "Always there" so little people will especially give a star for that. Guess that also explains my pleasant surprise eh? Oh, and for the copyover: If you respond there i will be forced to copy the responces here par my own policy that both users should have a complete copy to archive (Otherwise discussions are completely unreadable after a while ^^) Excirial (Contact me,Contribs) 21:13, 11 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough, I normally hand out a userpage award every week or so if I come across pages that (are in my opinion) good enough. This is just to keep the receiving user in high spirits and etc, a community oriented thing. As for your replying policy, OK, I hope you don't mind continually having to remove talkback templates :). BloodedEdgeawards 21:17, 11 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Not at all, not at all. My watchlist is 500 articles by now, so i cannot really count on that working :) Excirial (Contact me,Contribs) 21:24, 11 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Go to "my preferences" tab
Go to Gadgets
Enable "Friendly"
With Friendly, every time you click on a user talk page, a "welcome" tab will show up along with "edit this page, move, history". Just click welcome, and click one the options. Hope this helps. Cheers.--LAAFansignreview 02:14, 12 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

SO NOW, SO WoW
Fashion Can Be Such A Grind
So, being so inconveniently rich and everything, I decided to four new laptops in the hope that I could write them off my taxes, and possibly to see what would happen if I put them in the microwave. While putting a model together on the dell website, I couldn't help noticing the items on the "recommended accessories" page included a webcam, a USB hub, a pack of blank DVDs, and... World Of Warcraft. If I were less mentally stable I think I think I could be forgiven for thinking WoW was stalking me with a grudge. I spent three very unproductive months grinding my way through that grindtastic grindfest a while back, and its amazing how something so dementedly un-entertaining can draw you in. I see the damned game at every turn. World Of Warcraft free trial CDs are everywhere, fighting dogs, killing cats, biting babies in cradles...all you'd need to do is learn how to digest plastic and you'd never go hungry again. So, I set about emptying every CD rack I came across, thinking about creating a magnificent morning coat made out of WoW free trial CDs. I pictured myself on the streets of London making millions. Regrettably the project never got that far. After gathering all the free trial CDs into a pile, the sheer weight of concentrated grind in a single place created a grind vortex that reduced the furniture to sawdust in seconds. Only two CDs remained which I considered stringing together in a G-string arrangement, but I thought wearing that along the streets of London would give the wrong message so I set the microwave to full power and found that there really is a way to make World Of Warcraft entertaining after all. Blooded Edge, thank you much for supporting me in my recent RfA. Addionally, and most importantly, I would like to thank you for the signature. For some reason, it brought a huge smile to my face each time I checked the RfA's status. Kindest, 'LAZtalk
Hey there, nice to here your RFA did indeed pass, and by such an overwhelming margin as well! As for the signature, you are only too welcome to 'steal' the font :), I got bored of it after a bit, and my current one suits me just fine.
