(13644) Lynnanderson is an asteroid located in the outer main belt , which was discovered on April 17, 1996 by the Belgian astronomer Eric Walter Elst at the La Silla Observatory of the European Southern Observatory in Chile ( IAU code 809). The asteroid had already been sighted on December 20, 1976 under the provisional designation 1976 YC 7 at the Crimean Observatory in Nautschnyj .

The rotation period of (13644) Lynnanderson was established in 2009 and 2019 by Brian D. Warner and in 2015 by Adam Waszczak, Chan-Kao Chang, Eran Ofek et al. examined. However, the light curves were not sufficient for a determination. The mean diameter of the asteroid was roughly calculated to be 9.179 (± 2.418) km, the albedo as 0.091 (± 0.045).

The asteroid belongs to the Themis family, a group of asteroids named after (24) Themis . The ageless (not osculating ) orbital elements of (13644) Lynnanderson are almost identical with those of the smaller asteroids (29522) 1977 YL 15 .

(13644) Lynnanderson was named on September 28, 2015 after the American country singer Lynn Anderson (1947-2015). Her world hit from 1970 (I Never Promised You A) Rose Garden was particularly emphasized in the dedication .
