(18462) Riccò is an asteroid of the main outer belt discovered on August 26, 1995 at the San Vittore Observatory ( IAU code 552) in Bologna .

The asteroid is a member of the Koronis family, a group of asteroids named after (158) Koronis . The timeless (non- osculating ) orbital elements of (18462) Riccò are almost identical to those of the larger asteroid (8754) Leucorodia and the smaller asteroids (161628) 2005 YW 29 , (204518) 2005 EM 25 , (240713) 2005 GK 110 and ( 463986) 2014 WN 48 . The size comparison is based solely on the absolute brightness , since the diameter of all the celestial bodies mentioned is not known.

The mean diameter of the asteroid was calculated to be 3.906 (± 0.208) km and the albedo to be 0.153 (± 0.012).

(18462) Riccò was named on April 27, 2002 after the Italian astronomer Annibale Riccò (1844–1919). The name of Annibale Riccò has also been borne by the moon crater on the northern side of the moon Ricco since 1970 .
