Àngel Soler had to spend several of his early years in bed due to paralysis. Since this made it impossible for him to learn to play the piano, he first learned it mentally using scores. With irrepressible willpower - even against statements from adults that he could never become a pianist with his disability - Soler began to learn to play the piano from the age of seven. He showed very high potential for this instrument early on. One ability that he inherited or acquired in those early years was to be able to interpret the sheet music perfectly right from the start when looking at the notes of each piece of music. This ability is also reported by the young Mozart. He immediately converted the first reading of a composition into the final interpretative result. Soler was also able to overcome his remaining limp with his willpower and probably with medical and medical help over the years.

He completed courses at the Acadèmia Marshall in Barcelona with Enric Torra and Mercè Roldós . There he won the honorary award in the middle and upper class. Together with the composer and violinist Joan Massià, he entered chamber music as an interpreter and teacher , the area that was to become his specialty. He was invited to the international music courses in Weikersheim , meaning courses of the German section of Jeunesses Musicales International at Weikersheim Castle . He studied at the Mozarteum in Salzburg with Paul Schilawsky , Walter Klien and Gerald Moore .

At seventeen he took part in the Joventuts Musicals de Sabadell . The music critics praised his excellent technique and also spoke of an "outstanding artistic dowry". He gave numerous concerts in Catalonia and all of Spain. He took part in the festivals of Barcelona, Granada, Santander, Cadaqués, S'Agaró and Torroella de Montgrí. He performed in several European cities with musical personalities such as the flautist Jean-Pierre Rampal , the cellists Radu Aldulescu and Carlos Prieto , the double bass player Ludwig Streicher and the violinist Evelio Tieles . He accompanied singers such as Montserrat Alavedra , Victòria dels Àngels , Anton Dermota , Josep Carreras , Anna Ricci and Isabel Aragón . He worked constantly with the Cor de Cambra del Palau de la Música Catalana , the chamber choir of the Palau de la Música.

Soler worked as a piano teacher with students such as Pere-Albert Balcells , Manuel Ruiz and Anna Crexells . He has taught at the Conservatori del Liceu , at his Estudi de Música Àngel Soler music school in Barcelona and at the Escolania de Montserrat . He also taught at the summer courses of Sant Feliu de Guíxols , Sitges , Castelló d'Empúries and Vila-seca .
