Austrian Ski Championships 1913
The 7th Austrian Ski Championship took place as part of the 7th association competition of the Austrian Ski Association from February 15 to 16, 1913 in Bad Aussee in the Kronland Styria .
For Austrian ski champion for 1913 , the students in Vienna crowned Vorarlberg Josef Bildstein .
Cross-country skiing in the ÖSV championship was also part of the academic ski championship that Paul Rotter from Prague won.

The Bad Aussee winter sports club was responsible for organizing the event. District judge Dr. Rudolf von Arvay.
Prices
The winner of the Austrian championship received the golden plaque of the Austrian Ski Association , the second to fourth placed received certificates of honor.
The traditional Wiset prizes of the Bad Aussee winter sports club were won by EW Baader from Munich in the ski jumping competition and Arild Berg from Christiania in the cross-country skiing competition .

In addition to the Norwegians Matthias Aas , Emil Knudsen and Arild Berg , who were based in Vienna , Mühlbach am Hochkönig and Munich , four athletes from the German Empire and 19 Austrians from the cities of Vienna and Prague as well as from took part in the senior competitions the Austrian Alpine countries. The three first placed Norwegians last year Lauritz Bergendahl , Johann Henricksen and Per Simonsen had not named. In contrast to the championship of 1912 on the Bödele , this time the Austrians were able to assert themselves against the strong international competition.

The route led over 15 km from Weinzierlhaus am Sandling to Schmiedgut near Bad Aussee . The run took place in very good weather and good snow conditions.

The Norwegian Emil Knudsen , classified as favorite, disappointed and fell on each of his three jumps.
Besides competition, Sepp Bildstein and Thorleif Aas jumped to 38 m (confessed) and the German Richard Walter jumped to 35 m (confessed).
The judges at all jumping competitions included Geza von Wolfstein , Dr. Rudolf von Arvay , Thorleif Aas, Richard Baumgartner and Richard Walter .

The newly built junior hill on the shady side in the forest allowed jumps of up to 25 meters.
Out of competition, Thorleif Aas jumped 24 m (hill record), Sepp Bildstein 22 m and Sepp Obereder 21 m on the junior hill .

The Austrian Academic Ski Championship was also held in the Styrian Salzkammergut . The championship consisted of the cross-country skiing of the ÖSV championship in Bad Aussee on February 15th and the ski jumping in Mitterndorf on February 17th.
