history

Archaeological finds prove an early settlement of the area. These include millstones that suggest a Stone Age settlement, as well as barrows from the Iron Age Hallstatt culture .

The first written mention of the village Na Úgezdci was made in 1045 in a document by Duke Břetislav I for the Břevnov monastery . The Church of St. Ursula was probably built between 1240 and 1250. To the west of the church there was a fortress on Na hradě square . In the 14th century gold soaps and gold mines were operated around Újezdec. King John of Luxembourg pledged the gold mines on June 21, 1337 to his chamberlain, Peter von Rosenberg . In 1350 Oujezdec was first mentioned as a parish village. On February 23, 1362, at the instigation of the patron saint Jan von Oujezdec, a new pastor was appointed for the relatively small parish with 249 Catholics. Jan von Oujezdec, whose seat was the Oujezdec Fortress, was murdered shortly before. Between 1363 and 1367 the fortress belonged to the brothers Kolman, Buzek, Huk and Přibyslav von Křikava . After that, the village was divided into several Vladikengüter . One of them belonged to Zdeněk von Kocelovice in 1391 and after his death in 1405 it fell to Jaroslav von Vranovice. The fortress was the seat of Oldřich Slepec of Miličín between 1401 and 1414 and then until 1419 of his son Jan Mládenec of Miličín. In 1430 it belonged to Dobeš from Míšovice. After that there was no news about Oujezdec for 112 years, at some point during this time the Vladiken von Hvožďany acquired the property. In 1542 Apolena Kotz von Dobrz inherited the Oujezdec fortress, which also included a brewery and malt house, from her father Jindřich Koupský von Bříza. In 1593, Ernst Vitanovský von Vlčkovice bought the goods Hvožďany, Oujezdec and Hostišovice by marrying Anna Kotz von Dobrz. At the beginning of the Thirty Years' War , in early October 1620, an army of 20,000 men under the command of Christian I of Anhalt was camped for two days on the Budín hill and in the valley between Oujezdec and Záhrobí . Frederick I joined this with four hundred cavalry and on October 6, 1620 the army set out for Hvožďany. On October 7, 1620, the League army, under the command of Karl Bonaventura Count von Buquoy, defeated the Protestant army between Starý Smolivec and Radošice. This battle was the only one in Bohemia in which Frederick I himself took part. During this time Oujezdec was burned down.

The subsequent owner of the fortress and the Oujezdec manor was Jan Vitanovský von Vlčkovice from 1641, who bequeathed it to his eldest son Ernst Wenzel in 1644. In the berní rula of 1654, four peasant farms and eight chalupners are identified for Oujezdec, one of which was deserted. In 1664, Karl Leopold Caretto-Cavriani di Millesimo bought the Hvožďany, Oujezdec and Hostišovice estates. Two years later he sold them to Aleš Ferdinand Wratislaw von Mitrowitz . He struck the Oujezdec estate including two mills to his lordship in Schlüsselburg . In 1673 a large fire destroyed four farms. Aleš Ferdinand's daughters sold all goods to Humprecht Johann Czernin von Chudenitz in 1675 . In 1682 the property fell to his son Thomas Zachäus Czernin von Chudenitz. In 1695 Oujezdec consisted of eleven farms and ten chalets. From 1745 Franz Karl Rudolf Graf von Swéerts-Sporck and from 1757 Johann Franz Christian von Swéerts-Sporck belonged to the following owners . When house numbering was introduced in 1770, 32 houses were counted in Oujezdec. Joseph von Swéerts-Sporck sold the rule in 1804 to Leopold Leonhard von Thun and Hohenstein , who in the same year sold it on to Johann Franz Freiherr Linker von Lützenwick . After his death in 1811 his son Clemens Wenceslaus Graf Linker von Lützenwick inherited the lordship of Schluesselburg and the Schiwotitz estate . In 1840 Augezdetz consisted of 38 houses with 240 inhabitants. In the village there was a branch church of St. Ursula. A sheep farm, a mill ( Netušilův Mlýn ) and two board saws lay off the beaten track . The parish was Bieltschitz . Until the middle of the 19th century Augezdetz remained subordinate to the rule of Schlüsselburg.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Oujezdec / Augezdetz 1850 a municipality in the district administration and the judicial district Blatná. In 1921 Újezdec consisted of 45 houses in which 275 people, 272 of them Czechs, lived. In the course of the abolition of the Okres Blatná, Újezdec was assigned to the Okres Strakonice in 1960. On November 26, 1971 Újezdec was incorporated into Bělčice. In 1991 Újezdec had 79 inhabitants. The 2001 census counted 65 people and 45 houses.
