tourism

Before the First World War , one of the most popular shepherd's and hiking trails in the High Tatras, the Popod Żabiem, ran from the Łysa Polana alpine pasture to the Meerauge mountain lake on the Żabia Grań . The path was closed in 1920 because it was on both sides of the Polish-Czechoslovak border. Since then, the ascent has been on the Oswald-Balzer-Weg to the west . Since then, the area has been a strict nature reserve. It is not accessible to hikers. However, some of the peaks can be climbed with the permission of the national park administration.
