3 Hours of Monza 1963, 3rd race
The 14th Coppa Inter-Europa , the 3-hour race in Monza for GT vehicles over 2-liter displacement , also XIV. Coppa Inter-Europa, 3 Hours, Monza , was held on September 8, 1963 at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza and it was the 20th round of the sports car world championship this year.
The race
The race for GT vehicles over 2-liter displacement was already the third race over this distance in Monza, which was a championship race of the sports car world championship in 1963 . In June Romano Perdomi won a GT race in a Fiat-Abarth 1000 . On the same day, the Coppa Inter-Europa for GT vehicles up to 2-liter displacement took place, which Tommy Spychiger won in an Abarth-Simca 1300 Bialbero .
The high-displacement sports car event ended with the triumph of Roy Salvadori in the Aston Martin DP214 .
