35th Cavalry Brigade (German Empire)

The 35th Cavalry Brigade was a large unit of the Prussian Army .

history

In the course of the formation of the XVII. Army Corps , the brigade was established by ordinance of the War Ministry from February 1 to April 1, 1890. The command was in Graudenz . The brigade belonged to the 35th Division and the cuirassier regiment "Duke Friedrich Eugen von Württemberg" (West Prussian) No. 5 and the Uhlan regiment "von Schmidt" (1st Pomeranian) No. 4 were subordinate to it. After completion of the autumn exercises in 1901, the hussar regiment "Prince Blücher von Wahlstatt" (Pommersches) No. 5 was added. In 1906 the subordination changed. The Cuirassier Regiment "Duke Friedrich Eugen von Württemberg" (West Prussian) No. 5 and the Uhlan Regiment "von Schmidt" (1st Pomeranian) No. 4 joined the newly established 41st Cavalry Brigade and the 35th Cavalry Brigade the newly formed Jäger-Regiment on Horseback No. 4 was placed under the command.

When the First World War broke out , the brigade was disbanded. The hussar regiment "Fürst Blücher von Wahlstatt" (Pomeranian) No. 5 joined the 36th Infantry Division as division cavalry , and the Rider Regiment on Horseback No. 4 joined the 35th Infantry Division.
