44th Cavalry Brigade (German Empire)
The 44th Cavalry Brigade was a large unit of the Prussian Army .

In the course of the army expansion, the brigade was established by ordinance of the War Ministry on October 1, 1913. The command was in Gleiwitz . The brigade belonged to the 12th Division and the Uhlan Regiment “von Katzler” (Silesian) No. 2 and the newly formed Jäger-Regiment on Horses No. 11 were subordinate to it.
When the First World War broke out , the brigade was disbanded for the duration of the mobile relationship. The Jäger Regiment on Horses No. 11 joined the 11th Infantry Division as division cavalry , the Uhlan Regiment "von Katzler" (Silesian) No. 2 joined the 12th Infantry Division.
After the end of the war , the brigade command was briefly set up again and disbanded on November 15, 1919 after demobilization .
