The Belgian motorway 28 , also on French. Autoroute 28 or Dutch Called Autosnelweg 28 , it is currently only a bypass from Aubange . It begins on the national road 81 and runs from there to the French border, where it merges into the French national road 52 (past Longwy to the French motorway 30 ). The existing part of the A28 was opened to traffic in 1976 and is part of the European route 411 .
The road extends over a length of 3 kilometers and has no direct connection to the rest of the Belgian motorway network.
It is intended that another part of the A28, a few kilometers east of the N81, will be built. This section should then begin at the A4 at Hondelange . At Selange , this route is to be connected to an extension of the Luxembourg A13 . The new road is intended, among other things, to relieve traffic in Luxembourg (city) . The basic earthworks for the route in the Hondelange area were completed a few years ago.
