ARD information night

The ARD Info Eight since 1 April 2011, the fourth community night program of the ARD - Radio Broadcasting . It is an advertising and music-free information program with news every half hour as well as in-depth reports and reports.

The ARD information night is broadcast daily between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. The information program of the Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk , MDR Aktuell, produces the program of the ARD info night in its studios in Halle (Saale) .

Taking programs

The following programs are currently (as of 2020) taking over the ARD info night produced by MDR Aktuell :

• Antenne Saar ( Saarländischer Rundfunk )
• B5 current ( Bayerischer Rundfunk )
• B5 plus (Bavarian Broadcasting)
• hr-info ( Hessischer Rundfunk )
• Inforadio ( Broadcasting Berlin-Brandenburg )
• NDR Info Special ( North German Broadcasting )
• SWR Aktuell ( Südwestrundfunk )
• WDR 5 ( West German Broadcasting )

Radio Bremen does not take over the ARD information night .

B5 aktuell and SWR cont.ra (today: SWR Aktuell) took over the night program from the former MDR Info even before the ARD Info Night was introduced .

Special features when taking over the program

On Sundays, after the end of the ARD information night until 8:00 a.m., the program from MDR Aktuell will be displayed. But other of the connected waves also take over the ARD info night at different broadcast times, for example B5 currently between 0 and 6 a.m. hr-info and the RBB's Inforadio each broadcast their own contributions 15 minutes after and before the full hour, helping to shape the program in their broadcasting areas with regional and thematic focuses. B5 aktuell and B5 plus from BR, Antenne Saar and SWR Aktuell contribute reports from their broadcasting areas. At the top of the hour some of the receiving stations send their own messages, for example WDR 5.
