The mummy is stolen, but the medallion is forgotten. Abbott and Costello find the locket. Rontru offers them $ 100, but Abbott knows there is at least $ 5000 in it, which Rontru is willing to pay. They are supposed to meet Rontru in Café Cairo, where they learn from a waiter that the locket is cursed. They frantically try to get rid of it, but due to a mishap it ends up in Costello's hamburger, which promptly swallows it. Rontru urges the two of them to see a doctor to have Costello x-rayed. However, since the inscription on the medallion consists of hieroglyphics , she cannot decipher it. Semu arrives, pretends to be an archaeologist and offers to lead everyone to the tomb of the princess. Meanwhile, his men have brought the mummy Klaris to life.

When he arrives at the grave, Semu wants to kill everyone. Rontru captures Semu, and Charlie, one of her men, goes to the temple disguised as a mummy. Abbott disguises himself as a mummy and goes after. He and Costello free Semu. Now three mummies are in the same place at the same time. Rontru tries to open the treasury with dynamite.
