Accept is the debut album by the German heavy metal band Accept . It was recorded in 1978 and released in January 1979 on the German label Brain Records.
Emergence
The drums on the album were recorded by Frank Friedrich. However, he decided not to pursue a professional music career and so shortly before the album was released, he passed his place on to Stefan Kaufmann . Bassist Peter Baltes sang on Seawinds and Sounds of War . Around 3,000 copies of the debut album were initially sold. Then Accept went on tour and played for the first time in Belgium, the Netherlands and France.
reception
Andy Hinds awarded one and a half out of five stars on the Allmusic .com site . He wrote that the album was only for "die-hards and completeists". Compared to the later albums, the band sounds rather lame.
