Adam Anton Grundemann von Falkenberg

Adam Anton Grundemann von Falkenberg (* 1624 ; † 1711 in Vienna ) was a nobleman, diplomat and Lower Austrian sub-marshal .

Life

Adam Anton Grundemann von Falkenberg on Waldenfels was the son of knight Konstantin Grundemann von Falkenberg , imperial vice cathedral and ordinator of the knighthood (both over the Enns) and Cäcilia von Altenau, daughter of Salome Alt and the Salzburg archbishop Wolf Dietrich von Raitenau .

Adam Anton studied law in Bologna , Vienna and Ingolstadt , became a Lower Austrian regimental councilor in 1656 and also a monastery councilor in 1661. On March 21, 1667, he was accepted into the Lower Austrian knighthood, and in the same year he became sub-marshal and remained so for 42 years. On behalf of the emperor, he traveled several times to Milan, Genoa and Venice. In 1683 Adam did his best, so that the emperor gave him 6000 guilders afterwards. In 1710 Emperor Joseph I appointed him a real kk secret council .

Adam Anton Grundemann was also the lord of Süssenbrunn Castle and Dominion , Engelstein Castle , Gut Wielands, Ehrendorf and Haindorf Castle . In Vienna he owned a free house on Kärntner Strasse (corner of Annagasse, today No. 41).

family

Adam was married to Rebecca Rosimunda Countess von Ranzow for almost 50 years and the two had eight children, all of whom except for the daughter Maria Magdalena and the son Ernst Konstantin died in childhood. Adam Anton was buried with his wife in a family crypt in the Augustinian Church in Vienna , to which he donated the St. Joseph's side altar.
