Adam Greenberg

Adam Greenberg (* 1939 in Krakow , Poland as Adam Grinberg ) is an American cameraman .

Life

Born in Poland, Greenberg grew up in Tel Aviv and started working as a technician in a film laboratory in 1958. From 1961 he worked as a cameraman, initially for documentaries , news programs and commercials, from 1970 then also for feature films by well-known Israeli directors such as Moshé Mizrahi , Menahem Golan and Boaz Davidson . The surprise success of Davidson's popsicle series (from 1977) made Greenberg internationally known. This was followed by The Big Red One (1979) as his first major American production (directed and written by Samuel Fuller ).

In 1980 Greenberg moved to the USA and began his Hollywood career. In 1986 he became an American citizen. His first major Hollywood success was the impressive camera work in James Cameron's The Terminator (1984); then he worked for other well-known directors such as Kathryn Bigelow , Jerry Zucker , Barry Levinson , Ivan Reitman , Rob Reiner , Chuck Russell and Andrew Davis . His oeuvre includes a total of more than 75 productions. He last appeared in 2013.

He was nominated for the ASC Award in 1990 for Ghost Message from Sam . For Terminator 2 - Judgment Day (1991), his second collaboration with James Cameron, he received ASC Award, BSC Award and Oscar nominations .
