Ades Zabel (born September 26, 1963 in Berlin-Haselhorst ; actually Andreas Zabel ) is a German actor and travesty artist .

Zabel has been an integral part of the Berlin cabaret and travesty scene since the 1980s , sometimes solo, sometimes as part of the comedy group Die Teufelsberger . He is particularly known for his stage characters Edith Schröder (a Neukölln long-term unemployed), Karin Hoene (retired teacher, majoring in ink) and Hürriyet Lachmann (a Turkish neighborhood beauty), all of whom impress with their coarse Berlin humor.

Zabel was announced in Berlin by 1987 resulting to 1992 movie trilogy Three Dragons grilled in which he beside Thomas M. Goerke as daughter Margot and Bob Schneider as Grandma Margaret the role of takeaways-operator Magda Dyer played and Brigitte Grothum from the TV series Three ladies from the grill parodied. In 1996 the film Kondom des Horens (Condom of Horror) based on Ralf König followed , in which he - without credit - appeared as a "transvestite in a hotel".

This was followed, with moderate success, in the leading roles in two trash films , Mutti - Der Film and 18:15 from Ostkreuz , which were each shown in the official panorama program of the Berlinale . At 18:15 from Ostkreuz he could be seen in a double role as Karin Hoene and Hürriyet Lachmann . In the comedy Why Ulli wanted to kill himself on Christmas Eve (2005) by Edwin Brienen , he played the role of Evelyn .

In the indie film The Founder , which satirizes the machinations of Thomas Hornauer's channel Telemedial , Ades Zabel embodied the gossip reporter Gina Gaydt and parodied the picture editor Tina Gaedt, who always reported up-to-date on Hornauer's escapades.

On June 2, 2010 the trashical Edith Schröder: Made in Neukölln premiered at the BKA Theater and will be played on various days until September 18, 2010.

Zabel played his star role Edith, which he also embodies on stage, in the film Men to Smooch , which was released in 2012 .

He also works as " DJ Adessa Zabel" at parties in Berlin's gay scene and tells rough jokes (occasionally as a Kassler twin - alluding to the Kessler twins ). In 2006 he started to offer guided tours in Neukölln in the role of Edith Schröder.

In 2013 Zabel had a guest appearance in the new season of the show Krömer - Late Night Show .
