Adin Hill (born May 11, 1996 in Comox , British Columbia ) is a Canadian ice hockey goalkeeper who has been under contract with the Arizona Coyotes in the National Hockey League since April 2016 and at the same time for their farm team, the Tucson Roadrunners , in the American Hockey League is used.

Career

Adin Hill was born in Comox, but played for youth teams from Calgary in his youth , for example in the 2013-14 season for the Calgary Canucks in the Alberta Junior Hockey League . At the end of this season he made the leap to the higher-ranking Western Hockey League (WHL), where he kept the gate for the Portland Winterhawks . As a rookie , the Canadian had the best catch rate in the entire league in the 2014/15 season (92.1%) and was then considered in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft in 76th position by the Arizona Coyotes . For now, however, he returned to Portland for another year, where he played 65 games for the Winterhawks, the most of all goalkeepers in the WHL.

In April 2016 Hill signed an entry contract with the Arizona Coyotes, who used him in four games with their farm team , the Springfield Falcons , in the American Hockey League (AHL) by the end of the season . After this professional debut, from the 2016/17 season he was regularly used for the Coyotes' new farm team, the Tucson Roadrunners , and was also on the ice in five games for the Rapid City Rush in the third-class ECHL . At the beginning of the 2017/18 season, Hill made his debut for the Coyotes in the National Hockey League (NHL), before sharing the time with Hunter Miska at the Roadrunners and his personal statistics at the same time clearly on a goalscoring average of 2.28 and a catch rate of 91.4% increased. As a result, the goalkeeper has been regularly in Arizona's NHL squad since the 2018/19 season, also due to frequent injury-related failures by Antti Raanta , and usually acts as a backup for Raanta together with Darcy Kuemper .
