The Adler VI is a German passenger ship operated by Adler-Schiff GmbH & Co. KG in Westerland / Sylt .

The ship was built in 1979 with the construction number 1456 at the Husum shipyard in Husum for Adler ships. The keel was laid on May 16, the launch on July 7, 1979. The completion of the originally 31.78 m long ship was also in July 1979. In March 1995 the ship on the construction was cast m extended to 36.66.

The ship by a twelve-cylinder powered four-stroke - marine diesel engine of Klockner-Humboldt-Deutz AG (SBA 12 M 816) with a power of 448  kW , acting on a fixed-pitch propeller. The ship thus reaches a top speed of 10.5  knots . The ship is also equipped with a bow thruster with an output of 55 kW.

The ship is approved for coastal travel . For trips in covered waters, it has ice class E.

history

In July 1979, the ship was delivered to the Adler ships and then chartered to the Willy Freter shipping company in Heiligenhafen , which used it for shopping trips from Eckernförde . After the shipping company Willy Freter filed for bankruptcy on December 1, 1980, the charter was ended. The ship was then used for excursions from List and Hörnum . From 1992 it went shopping trips from Altwarp .

On October 20, 2007, a defect in the auxiliary diesel caused a fire in the ship's engine room . At the time of the accident, there were ten passengers on board the ship in addition to the crew , who could be picked up by the Adler Express . During the unloading, the suffered captain a smoke inhalation . The maneuverable ship was towed into the port of Hörnum by the rescue cruiser Eiswette of the DGzRS .

The ship has been used for excursions from Hörnum since April 2009.
