Adonis Ajeti (born February 26, 1997 in Basel ) is a Swiss football player who has both Albanian and Kosovar citizenship . He has been under contract with FC St. Gallen since the summer of 2017 , but was loaned to FC Chiasso for the 2018/19 season.

Adonis and his twin brother Albian began their football careers in 2005 as juniors at FC Basel . In the same year, her older brother Arlind also moved from FC Concordia Basel to FC Basel. In the 2011/12 and 2012/13 seasons, Adonis played in the U-16 team, which was one of the strongest U-16 teams in Europe at the time, and was twice Swiss champions. On April 30, 2013, the twin brothers received their first professional contract from FC Basel. Previously, they had rejected a request from the Spanish top club FC Barcelona for their U-16 team. For the 2013/14 season he was promoted to the U-21 team at FC Basel.
Basel
Ajeti made his debut for the first team of FC Basel on December 10, 2015 in a 1-0 away win against Lech Posen in the 2015/16 UEFA Europa League .
Wil
In February 2016 he moved to the second division club FC Wil 1900 , with whom he signed a contract valid until June 2020.
National team
Ajeti went through the junior teams U-15 and U-16 of Switzerland. His debut for the Swiss U-17s was on August 21, 2013 when they lost 1-0 to the Austrian U-17s . For the Swiss U-18s , Ajeti made his debut on March 26, 2015 against the English U-19s as a left central defender. The game ended in a 1-0 defeat.
