Florian Kamberi (born March 8, 1995 in Tuggen ) is a Swiss football player of Kosovar descent who has been under contract with FC.St.Gallen since August.

Career

Kamberi began his career as a youth at FC Rapperswil-Jona and moved to the U-21s of Grasshoppers Zurich in the 2014/15 season . The following season, the striker made his debut in the Swiss Super League on matchday one for the professional team, when he came on for Shani Tarashaj in the 90th minute of the 5-3 win against FC Thun . He scored his first professional goal for Zurich on the third day of the season in a 3-2 win against FC Zurich . For the 2016/17 season, Kamberi was loaned to the German second division club Karlsruher SC . He made his debut for Karlsruhe in a 1-1 draw against FC St. Pauli on matchday five, when he came on for Charis Mavrias in the 73rd minute . In the 1-1 draw against Fortuna Düsseldorf on matchday 8, he scored his first goal for Karlsruhe.

For the 2017/18 season he returned to his parent club Grasshoppers Zurich. There he scored a flawless hat-trick in 193 seconds in the 10-0 win against CS Romontois in the first round of the 2017/18 Swiss Cup on August 13, 2017, making it the fastest hat-trick in Swiss football history. In January 2018, Kamberi was awarded to the Scottish first division club Hibernian Edinburgh . For the Hibs, he scored nine goals in 14 games. In the transfer phase of summer 2018 it was announced that Kamberi will be equipped with a contract with Hibernian Edinburgh until the end of the 2020/21 season.

In January 2020, Kamberi was awarded to the Glasgow Rangers . And now he has signed a three-year contract with Fc.St.Gallen.

National team

Kamberi made his debut for the Swiss U-21 national team in a 1-0 win over Kazakhstan on September 7, 2015 . In the game against England on March 26, 2016, he scored for the first time for his selection. He also played a game for the Swiss U-20 team .
