The akquinet AG is an international and owner-managed IT service provider headquartered in Hamburg. The company sees itself as a software integrator-developer, consulting partner and outsourcing specialist.

Company profile

The company implements ERP and collaboration systems ( SAP and Microsoft ) and develops individual software solutions . In mechanical engineering and plant construction , the public sector , social economy , health care , logistics and trade the akquinet AG has industry expertise. Akquinet AG builds data centers and operates data centers in Hamburg, Norderstedt and Itzehoe . Akquinet AG has 21 branches in Germany and Austria .

Group structure

Akquinet AG is a non-listed company. Shareholders are the board members and the managing directors of the GmbHs in which the AG is involved. Employees also have the option of taking a capital stake.

history

Norbert Frank and Klaus-Dieter Gerken founded akquinet AG in 2002 as a cooperation and acquisition network (hence the name “akqui-Net”). Akquinet AG took over the sales activities for a corporate group of several IT companies with different technological orientations.

Together with the Evangelical Alsterdorf Foundation in Hamburg, akquinet AG founded the non-profit company akquinet Outsourcing gGmbH in 2004. She built the first data center in Germany for the foundation that is run as an integration company with a share of at least 40 percent people with disabilities .

The Wedel University of Applied Sciences and akquinet AG founded the Institute for Software Technology and Outsourcing at the Wedel GmbH in 2012. The "Business Informatics" and "IT Management, Consulting & Auditing" courses can be completed through the institute.

In 2012 akquinet AG built a twin data center (identical data center distributed over two locations) in Hamburg and Norderstedt. This created 20 new jobs for people with disabilities.

In 2018, akquinet AG decided to move its approximately 600 employees in Hamburg to one location in the future. For this purpose, from 2022 office space will be rented in the “Bramfelder Spitze” construction project in Hamburg-Bramfeld .

Services

The range of services includes strategy, planning, control and implementation of complex transformation projects in the business IT area: introduction of IT systems, optimization of IT processes, modernization of IT architecture, security concepts and solutions for corporate IT, Operation of IT applications.

Social Commitment

Since it was founded in 2002, akquinet AG has had its headquarters on the grounds of the Evangelical Foundation Alsterdorf in Hamburg. A non-profit company was established together with the foundation and 40% of the employees there are people with disabilities who are offered a long-term qualified job. This idea was extended to the entire company.
