Albert Kolb
Albert Kolb (born October 13, 1906 in Karlsruhe , † September 14, 1990 in Hamburg ) was a German geographer, Rector of the University of Hamburg and President of the West German Rectors' Conference .
He taught at the University of Hamburg and did research on economic- geographic issues and regional geography of the Pacific region. From 1956 to 1958 he was rector of Hamburg University, and in 1956 he also served as president of the West German rectors' conference . In 1960 he was elected a member of the Leopoldina .
