Valentin Hermann Albert Lademann (born February 1, 1795 in Flechtingen , † September 26, 1869 in Berlin ) was a Prussian major general .

Life

His father was initially a judge at the city and regional court in Seehausen, later in Salzwedel; his mother was a born cook.

Military career

Lademann first attended the military school in Braunschweig . After the Fourth Coalition War , the Principality of Braunschweig was incorporated into the newly established Kingdom of Westphalia and therefore he joined the Westphalian Army on December 24, 1811 as Second Lieutenant of the Artillery . Lademann came to Magdeburg and took part in the defense of the fortress in 1813 . After the collapse of the Kingdom of Westphalia, he was taken on as a second lieutenant in the Braunschweig artillery on January 12, 1814 and promoted to prime lieutenant on May 20, 1814 . During the summer campaign in 1815 Lademann fought in the sieges of Givet and Charlemont fortress .

On April 16, 1815, he left the Brunswick service, joined the Prussian Army and was aggregated as a second lieutenant of the Brandenburg Artillery Brigade on May 12, 1815 . On May 23, 1816 he came to the Guards Artillery Brigade and in mid-April 1818 as a Premier Lieutenant in the 4th Artillery Brigade . He was promoted to captain on December 30, 1827 and transferred to Minden as an artillery officer on October 24, 1832 . Lademann returned to the 4th Artillery Brigade on October 10, 1834 and was promoted to major at the end of February 1844 . On December 24, 1850, he was appointed commander of the 3rd Artillery Regiment. In this position he rose on March 23, 1852 to lieutenant colonel and on May 13, 1852 was director of the artillery and engineering school . At the same time, from the end of May 1852, Lademann also acted as President of the General Management of the Fireworks Laboratory in Spandau . He was born on March 22, 1853 to Colonel transported and received on 16 May 1857 his farewell by awarding the character as a major general with board . On the occasion of King Wilhelm I's accession to the throne , Lademann was awarded the Order of the Red Eagle III on October 18, 1861 . Excellent with a bow. He died on September 26, 1869 in Berlin and was buried on September 29, 1869 in the Hasenheide cemetery.

Lademann married Henriette von Westernhagen (1810–1866) on June 24, 1833 . The later Lieutenant General Oskar Lademann (1840–1930) comes from the marriage .
