Oskar Lademann

Friedrich Wilhelm Albert Oskar Lademann (born April 20, 1840 in Erfurt , † April 1, 1930 in Neubabelsberg ) was a Prussian lieutenant general and commander of the 30th division .

Life

Oskar was the son of the Prussian major general Albert Lademann (1795–1869) and his wife Henriette, née von Westernhagen (1810–1866).

Military career

He was the builder of Villa Lademann (later Villa Rühmann) and then UFA guest house

He received his education at the grammar school in Torgau, in the monastery of Our Lady in Magdeburg and at the Joachimsthaler grammar school . He then visited the Berlin cadet house and on May 8, 1858, was transferred to the 26th Infantry Regiment of the Prussian Army as a portepeefähnrich . Lademann advanced to secondary lieutenant in mid-October 1859 and was in command of the infantry training battalion for training purposes from mid-April to late September 1861. On March 8, 1862 he was appointed regimental adjutant and rose in this position to prime lieutenant at the end of September 1865 . Lademann took part in the battles at Münchengrätz , Preßburg and Königgrätz during the war against Austria in 1866 and received the Order of the Red Eagle, IV class with swords , for his work .

After the war, on October 30, 1866, he was appointed adjutant of the 38th Infantry Brigade . Left in this position, he was transferred to the Schleswig-Holstein Fusilier Regiment No. 86 on July 6, 1869 with a patent dated May 3, 1865 , before he resigned as a captain and company commander in the troop service. During the war against France Lademann led his 4th company at Beaumont , Sedan and Épinay-sur-Seine as well as in front of Paris .

Awarded the Iron Cross II. Class, he was transferred to the General Staff on January 6, 1872 after the peace treaty and was assigned to the General Staff of the 11th Division on March 23, 1872 . Promoted to major on June 22, 1875 , he came to Swinoujscie on June 12, 1877 as commander of the 1st Battalion in the 3rd Pomeranian Infantry Regiment No. 14 . He was transferred to the 4th Pomeranian Infantry Regiment No. 21 on September 13, 1882 , and with the appointment as commander of the 2nd Battalion on May 5, 1883 . Subsequently, from mid-November 1884 he was a regular staff officer in the 3rd Hanoverian Infantry Regiment No. 79 and on July 6, 1886 was promoted to Colonel in command of the 4th Lower Silesian Infantry Regiment No. 51 . This was followed by a position as major general and commander of the 50th Infantry Brigade on August 13, 1889 . On May 17, 1892 he was promoted to lieutenant general and commander of the 30th division in Strasbourg . In this capacity he received the star for the Order of the Red Eagle, 2nd class, with oak leaves and swords on the ring in mid-September 1893. With the award of the Crown Order of the First Class, Lademann was put up for disposal on May 14, 1894 with a pension .

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the infantry regiment "Prince Leopold von Anhalt-Dessau" (1st Magdeburgisches) No. 26, he was given permission to wear the regimental uniform on April 1, 1913. Lademann died on April 1, 1930 in Neubabelsberg and was buried in the New Cemetery in Potsdam .

Lademann married Emma von Rohrscheidt (1855–1923) in Potsdam on June 26, 1872. The couple had several children:
