Aleksandra Król (born November 20, 1990 in Zakopane ) is a Polish snowboarder . It starts in the parallel disciplines.

Career

Król started in Vratna for the first time in the European Cup in January 2006 and finished 49th and 38th in the parallel giant slalom. In February 2006 she became Polish champion in snowboard cross in Ustron . At the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival 2007 in Jaca , she won 33rd place in the parallel giant slalom. At the Snowboard Junior World Championships 2008 in Chiesa in Valmalenco , she finished 30th in snowboard cross, 24th place in parallel slalom and 23rd place in parallel giant slalom. At the beginning of the 2008/09 season, she completed her first World Cup in Limone Piemonte , which she finished in 39th place in the parallel giant slalom. In the further course of the season she took 41st place in parallel giant slalom and 34th place in parallel slalom at the 2009 Snowboard World Championships in Gangwon and 31st place in snowboard cross at the 2009 Junior Snowboard World Championships in Nagano , 14th place in parallel -Giant slalom and 13th place in parallel slalom. In the 2009/10 season she achieved eight top ten placements, including second place in the parallel giant slalom in Isola 2000, sixth place and in the 2010/11 season with ten top ten placements, including third place in the parallel Giant slalom in Valberg fifth place in the overall ranking of the European Cup. At the 2010 Snowboard Junior World Championships in Cardrona , she achieved 11th place in the parallel giant slalom and eighth place in the parallel slalom and at the Snowboard World Championships 2011 in La Molina, 39th place in the parallel slalom and 24th place in the parallel giant slalom. At the beginning of February 2011 she was fourth in the parallel giant slalom at the Winter Universiade in Erzurum .

In the 2012/13 season in Moscow , Król reached her first top ten and podium finish in the World Cup with second place in the parallel slalom. At the season highlight, the 2013 Snowboard World Championships in Stoneham , she finished 29th in the parallel slalom and 26th in the parallel giant slalom. The following season she came 17th in the 2013 Winter Universiade in Monte Bondone in the parallel giant slalom and in her first Olympic participation in Sochi on the 30th place in the parallel slalom and on the ninth place in the parallel giant slalom. In the following year she took 26th place in the parallel giant slalom and 20th place in the parallel slalom at the World Championships on Kreischberg and seventh place in the parallel giant slalom at the Winter Universiade in Sierra Nevada . After finishing fourth in the parallel slalom at the World Cup in Cortina d'Ampezzo at the beginning of the 2016/17 season, she won the gold medal in the parallel giant slalom at the 2017 Winter Universiade in Almaty . At the season highlight, the Snowboard World Championships 2017 in Sierra Nevada, she finished 20th in the parallel giant slalom and eighth in the parallel slalom. She finished the season in 11th place in the Parallel Slalom World Cup. Also in the following season she came in 11th place in the parallel slalom World Cup. At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , she came 11th in the parallel giant slalom. In March 2018 she became Polish champion in search in parallel slalom.

In the 2018/19 season, Król achieved five top ten results, including second place in the parallel slalom in Bad Gastein, 11th place in the parallel world cup, tenth place in the parallel giant slalom world cup and eighth place in the parallel slalom world cup. At the Snowboard World Championships in Park City in 2019 , she finished 14th in the parallel giant slalom and eighth in the parallel slalom. In March 2019 she won the Polish championships in Bialka Tatrzanska in the parallel slalom and the parallel giant slalom. In the following season she won the European Cup with two first places and a second and third place each, second place in the parallel ranking, parallel slalom ranking and parallel giant slalom ranking

So far, Król has participated in 92 World Cups and was among the top ten 12 times. (Status: end of season 2019/20).
