Alexander Evgenjewitsch Karatajew (often also: Alexander Karataev , Russian Александр Евгеньевич Каратаев ; born November 22, 1973 in Taganrog , Soviet Union ) is a former Russian football player and coach .
Career
player
Karatajew began his career with the second division Rostselmasch Rostow . From 1990 to 1992 he played for the first division club Spartak Moscow and in 1992 won the championship and the club cup . After a season with city rivals Lokomotiv Moscow , he moved to Germany for Bundesliga club Bayern Munich . He did not play a competitive game for the professional team. In the amateur team he was used several times, including in the round of 16 of the DFB Cup . On October 27, 1993 he was substituted in for Oliver Stegmayer in the 3: 4 defeat on penalties in the home game against Tennis Borussia Berlin in the 105th minute.
At the end of the season 1993/94 he returned to Russia back to it in 1996 again in Germany to try. At 1. FSV Mainz 05 he played six times in the 2. Bundesliga ; for the first time on September 13, 1996 (6th matchday) in the 3-0 win at home against VfB Oldenburg , when he came on for Abderrahim Ouakili in the 86th minute . He played his only second division game over 90 minutes on October 18, 1996 (11th matchday) in the 4-5 defeat in the away game against SV Meppen .
In the following ten years he played primarily for various lower-class Russian clubs. At the end of 2000 he was promoted to the second Russian league with FK Chimki . After the 2001 season, in which he scored three goals in 19 championship games, Karatajew moved to league rivals FK SKA Rostov , where he was only used five times. In 2006 he was active for the Kazakh first division club Ordabassy Schymkent .
Trainer
From 2009 to 2012 he coached the Russian third division (South) FC Mitos Novocherkassk , followed by Mikhail Kupriyanov.
