Alfred Anderle

Alfred Anderle (born June 21, 1925 in Loosch , Czechoslovak Republic ; died 1994 ) was a German historian from Eastern Europe .

Life

Alfred Anderle was born the son of a German miner. In 1943 he joined the NSDAP (membership number 9412746). He became a soldier and was taken prisoner by the Soviets, from which he was released in 1947. Anderle joined the FDJ and in 1947 was secretary of the district management in Borna . In the following year he attended the preparatory college in Leipzig and studied Slavic Studies and history at the University of Leipzig from 1948 to 1952 . He joined the SED and became a lecturer at the University of Leipzig in 1952. From 1953 he received an apprenticeship to study at the Lomonossow University in Moscow . He received his doctorate there in 1959. In 1962 he completed his habilitation with the thesis: The Rapallo Treaty and German Foreign Policy in the years 1922–1925 . From 1959 until his retirement in 1990 he taught at the University of Halle .

Anderle was a member of the editorial board of the Zeitschrift für Geschichtswwissenschaft from 1959 to 1990 . He was a corresponding member of the history section of the German Academy of Sciences in Berlin . In May 1968 he was elected district chairman of the Halle University of the Society for German-Soviet Friendship .
