Alois Bulitta

Aloysius Bulitta (also Alois or Aloys Bulitta ; born October 21, 1897 in Köslienen ( Polish : Kieźliny ), district of Allenstein , Warmia , East Prussia ; † July 8, 1971 in Würzburg ) was a German certified business teacher, doctorate in economics, senior government and school councilor, Slavic and Polish editor and non-fiction and textbook author.

Live and act

He was the older brother of Franz and Josef Bulitta . Alois Bulitta attended elementary school in Köslienen and then the grammar school in Allenstein . From September 1915 he was a volunteer in the First World War . He was dismissed from the Reichswehr as a war disabled. He then attended a teacher training college in Gdansk and completed a year-long school service. After his final examination as a qualified commercial teacher after studying at the commercial college and the Albertina University in Königsberg , he worked as a teacher in Allenstein in 1924 and 1925. From 1925 he studied Slavic Studies in Munich and joined a student union. In 1925/1926 he was a specialist teacher at the commercial and secondary school in Marktbreit and from 1926 to 1929 a teacher at the commercial department of the municipal vocational school in Würzburg. From 1926 he was also chairman of the old men’s association Unitas-Bavaria in Würzburg and from 1930 after the merger of the student associations Unitas Bavaria and Unitas-Franco-Borussia the first chairman of this old men’s club in Würzburg. In 1933 he also took over the chairmanship of the old gentlemen's association Unitas-Hetania Würzburg. In 1934 he passed the diploma examination for economics at the University of Würzburg. In 1935/36 he worked as a Slavist and Polish lecturer at the University of Würzburg, where he held courses on geography, history and the people of Poland. With the inaugural dissertation he received his doctorate on January 14, 1938 at the University of Würzburg ( Dr. phil. Et rer. Nat. ). After being drafted, he was a special leader , interpreter and lieutenant in the Hammelburg camp from 1939 to 1945 . Around 1941 he wrote three Slavic phrasebooks .

After the end of the war he was chairman of the old gentlemen's association Unitas-Hetania from 1946 to 1967 and of Unitas-Würzburg from 1947 to 1968. Professionally, he was first acting school councilor in Bad Kissingen in 1948 and a teacher in Würzburg in 1949. In 1950 he was appointed to the government school council in Lower Franconia. In 1957 he was promoted to the higher government school board. He made a contribution to the reorganization of the commercial, industrial and agricultural vocational schools. He paid particular attention to special schools for the deaf, physically handicapped and blind.

He was chairman of the house building association of the Unitas student association in Würzburg (1964–1966). In 1966 he retired. On June 19, 1967, he was presented with the Cross of Merit on the ribbon of the Federal Cross of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany by the District President of Lower Franconia. In 1968 he was elected honorary chairman of the old men’s club in Würzburg for life: “The 40 years as chairman of the old men’s club can rightly be called the 'Bulitta era'”. For the Polish language, he was also a court-appointed translator and interpreter for the whole of Germany. He also published poems and short stories.
