Alt-Wiedikon is a district in District 3 (Wiedikon) of the city of Zurich in Switzerland . The quarter does not go back to a former municipality, but to a tripartite division of Wiedikon by the statistical office. Alt-Wiedikon includes the oldest settlement areas of Wiedikon, the Bühlhügel, the Rebhügel and the Giesshübel area.
The left bank of the Sihl forms the eastern border of the quarter to Enge , in the north the quarter borders on the Sihlfeld district from the Sihl to the west along Zurlindenstrasse and Birmensdorferstrasse . The western border to the Friesenberg district runs from Heuried in a southerly direction along the Wasserschöpfi, the Uetlibergbahn and the Borrweg to Arbentalstrasse. The rest of the western border follows certain terrain structures: the edge of the former Binz clay pit and the former Laubegg clay pit, to the south towards the Sihl, where there is a piece of the border with Wollishofen .
