Altivo Pacheco Ribeiro (born May 24, 1916 in Cataguases , Minas Gerais , Brazil , † June 13, 1987 ) was a Brazilian clergyman and Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in Juiz de Fora .

Life

Altivo Pacheco Ribeiro received on 8 December 1948, the sacrament of Holy Orders . In the following years he worked, among other things, as parish priest in Rio Preto .

On April 4, 1963, Pope John XXIII appointed him . to the Bishop of Barra do Piraí . The Archbishop of Juiz de Fora, Geraldo María de Morais Penido , donated him episcopal ordination on June 11 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Assis , José Lázaro Neves CM , and the Bishop of Caratinga , José Eugênio Corrêa .

Pope Paul VI appointed him on June 27, 1966 Bishop of Araçuaí . On November 10, 1973 Paul VI appointed him. as titular bishop of Aliezira and auxiliary bishop in Juiz de Fora.

Altivo Pacheco Ribeiro participated in the second, third and fourth sessions of the Second Vatican Council .
