Amphoe Buachet ( Thai : อำเภอ บัว เชด ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the southeast of Surin Province . The province of Surin is located in the northeast region of Thailand , the so-called Isan .

geography

Buachet district borders (clockwise from west): Sangkha district in Surin Province, Khukhan and Phu Sing district in Si Sa Ket Province , and Oddar Meancheay Province in Cambodia .

history

Buachet was initially set up on August 21, 1978 as a “branch circle” ( King Amphoe ) by separating the three tambon Buachet, Sadao and Charat from the Sangkha district . On July 27, 1984, it was promoted to Amphoe.

There is one municipality with "small town" status ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:

  • Buachet (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บัว เชด ), consisting of parts of the Tambon Buachet.
