Amphoe Phon Na Kaeo ( Thai อำเภอ โพน นา แก้ว ) is a district ( Amphoe - Administrative District) of the Province of Sakon Nakhon . The province of Sakon Nakhon is located in the northeast region of Thailand , the so-called Isan .

Amphoe Phon Na Kaeo is located in the east of the province of Sakon Nakhon and is bordered clockwise from the south by the Amphoe Khok Si Suphan , Mueang Sakon Nakhon and Kusuman in the Province of Sakon Nakhon, as well as the Amphoe Pla Pak , Huai Phueng and Wang Yang of the Province Nakhon Phanom .

history

Amphoe Phon Na Kaeo emerged from the “branch circle” of the same name ( King Amphoe ), which was formed on April 1, 1991, when the Tambon Ban Phon, Na Kaeo, Na Tong Watthana and Ban Paen were separated from the Amphoe Mueang Sakon Nakhon . On December 5, 1996, it was upgraded to a full Amphoe.

There are three municipalities with "small town" status ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:

  • Ban Phon (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บ้าน โพน ), consisting of the entire Tambon Ban Phon.
  • Na Kaeo (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล นา แก้ว ), consisting of the entire Tambon Na Kaeo.
  • Chiang Sue (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล เชียง สื อ ), consisting of the entire tambon Chiang Sue.

There are also two " Tambon Administrative Organizations " ( องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Tambon Administrative Organizations, TAO):

  • Na Tong Watthana (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล นา ต ง วัฒนา )
  • Ban Paen (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล บ้าน แป้น )
