Location of the Crivitz office in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district | ||
The former Crivitz office existed from 1992 to 2013 and was located in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (Germany). In this office , seven municipalities were recently united to carry out their administrative business. The administrative seat was in Crivitz . On January 1, 2014 the office was merged with the offices of Ostufer Schweriner See and Banzkow in the new office of Crivitz .
On July 1, 2004, the Crivitz office was expanded to include the municipality of Friedrichsruhe from the dissolved Eldetal office . It was made up of the communities Barnin, Bülow, Crivitz, Demen, Göhren, Friedrichsruhe, Tramm, Wessin and Zapel. On January 1, 2011, the previously independent municipality of Wessin with the districts of Badegow and Radepohl was incorporated into Crivitz, and on July 1, Göhren with the districts of Bahlenhüschen and Settin to Tramm.
The official area extended in the lowlands of the Warnow and Lewitz northwest of Parchim . The Warnow flowed through it, and the Stör Canal formed the southwestern border. In the north, the area bordered the Sternberger Seenlandschaft department , in the east with the Parchimer Umland department , in the south with the Neustadt-Glewe department and in the west with the Banzkow department and the East Bank department of Schweriner See . There were several larger lakes in the district, the largest of which is Barniner See . A hill in Eichholz east of Crivitz was the highest point at 88 meters above sea level.
In addition to agriculture and the increasingly dominant wind power , tourism in particular played an increasing role.
The federal road 321 ( Schwerin - Suckow ) led through the Crivitz office . The federal motorway 14 ran west of the official area , south of it the A 24 . The Schwerin – Parchim railway ran through the office. The state capital Schwerin is around 20 kilometers away.
