André Renato Soares Martins (born January 21, 1990 in Santa Maria da Feira ) is a Portuguese football player .

Career

In the club

Martins was trained at the Sporting Lisbon Youth Academy . In 2009 he was loaned to the third division Real Massamá along with nine other youth players from the club . For the 2010/11 season, Martins moved on loan to the second division Belenenses Lisbon . Since he was only used twice in the first half of the season, he closed another loan deal during the winter break and from then on played for the third division CD Pinhalnovense . For the 2011-12 season returned Martins back to Sporting. On October 20, 2011, he played his first professional game for the club in the UEFA Europa League against FC Vaslui .

For the 2016/17 season , Martins was piloted to Olympiacos in Greece by coach Paulo Bento , under whom he made his debut in the national team .

In the national team

Martins went through the youth national teams of his country. On June 10, 2013, he made his debut in the senior team in a friendly against Croatia .

Martins is part of the Portuguese squad at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro .
