Andrew Hankinson (born December 22 , 1983 in Cumberland , Maryland , USA ) better known by his ring name Luke Gallows is an American wrestler who was under contract with World Wrestling Entertainment until 2020 . In Japan he was known under the ring name Doc Gallows . His greatest success so far is receiving the IWGP Tag Team Championship three times and receiving the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship twice .
Private life
He has been married to wrestler Amber O'Neal since May 2014.
Wrestling career
World Wrestling Entertainment (2005-2010)
Before signing a contract with World Wrestling Entertainment , he played matches in the promotions- Southern Championship Wrestling (SCW) , International Wrestling Cartel (IWC) , Pro Wrestling Entertainment (PWE) , World Wide Wrestling Alliance (WWWA) and Far North Wrestling ( FNW) . On September 1, 2005, he played his first match against Nick Mitchell under the ring name Deacon Deville, his first match for his new employer , at an event by Deep South Wrestling , the WWE's then advanced league.
On May 29, 2006, he made his debut on the main roster when he intervened on Raw in the match between Kane and Shelton Benjamin and attacked Kane. He appeared under the ring name Kane and appeared as its doppelganger. He feuded the real Kane. The feud ended on June 25, 2006 at WWE Vengeance , where he lost in a match to the real-life Kane. He then returned to Deep South Wrestling and teamed up with G-Rilla for a short time. When the team broke up, he played his first match under his new ring name Festus Dallas at Ohio Valley Wrestling , the WWE's second development league at the time.
On September 7, 2007, he made his SmackDown debut under the ring name Festus at the side of Jesse. The two formed a team. At the Smackdown edition of October 5, 2007, he denied together with Jesse against Chad Collyer and Mike Tolar his first match at SmackDown. On April 11, 2008 he lost to Undertaker and suffered his first defeat in a single match at SmackDown. On April 15, 2009 at WWE Draft , he was appointed to Raw, so his partner Jesse stayed with SmackDown and he appeared on Raw in the future. This disbanded the team. After a three-month absence, he returned to the November 27, 2009 issue of SmackDown under the ring name Luke Gallows. He formed the Stable Straight Edge Society with CM Punk , Joey Mercury and Serena . Together with CM Punk, Joey Mercury and Serena, he feuded against Jeff Hardy , Rey Mysterio and Big Show . He left the stable on the September 21, 2010 issue of SmackDown. With the release of Serena and his turn, the stable was dissolved. On November 19, 2010, he was released from the WWE.
Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (2011-2013)
In June 2011 he played a few matches for TNA . He was part of TNA's Ring Ka King (RKK) India project . At Ring Ka King he appeared under the ring name Isaiah Cash. On September 4, 2012, he signed a contract with TNA. On November 1st, he was revealed as a member of the Aces & Eights Stables . At TNA he appeared under the ring name DOC. DOC is the abbreviation for Director of Chaos. He played his first match at Impact Wrestling on November 8, 2012. On July 17, 2013, he left TNA.
New Japan Pro Wrestling (2013-2016)
On November 23, 2013 at the NJPW World Tag League 2013 he made his debut for NJPW under the ring name Doc Gallows . There he and Karl Anderson defeated BUSHI and Kota Ibushi . On the same day, he and Karl Anderson joined the BULLET CLUB . On January 4, 2014, he and Karl Anderson defeated the Killer Elite Squad ( Davey Boy Smith Jr. and Lance Archer ) and won the IWGP Tag Team Championship for the first time . They lost the title on January 4, 2015 to Hirooki Goto and Katsuyori Shibata. On February 11th, 2015, they took back the IWGP Tag Team Championship . On April 5, 2015, they lost the title to The Kingdom (Matt Taven and Michael Bennett). On July 5, 2015, they defeated The Kingdom and won the IWGP Tag Team Championship for the third time . On January 4, 2016, they lost the title to the Great Bash Heel (Togi Makabe and Tomoaki Honma). On February 20, 2016, he and Karl Anderson played their last match for NJPW, as they signed a contract with WWE with AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura .
Return to WWE 2016-2020

He made his return to the WWE under his old ring name Luke Gallows on the April 11, 2016 edition of Raw. Together with Karl Anderson , he attacked The Usos after their victory against the Social Outcasts . On April 25, 2016, he played alongside Karl Anderson in his first match after his return against The Usos, which they also won. Together with Karl Anderson and AJ Styles he formed the stable The Club . The Club feuded Roman Reigns and The Usos. After that, they feuded against John Cena , Big Cass and Enzo Amore . At the WWE Draft 2016 , which took place at the SmackDown edition on July 19, 2016, he and Karl Anderson were drafted to Raw , while AJ Styles was drafted at SmackDown . With this draft the stable was dissolved.
At the Royal Rumble on January 29, 2017 , he and Karl Anderson of The Bar Cesaro and Sheamus won the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship . They lost the title on April 2, 2017 at Wrestlemania 33 to the Hardy Boyz in a Fatal Four Way Tag Team Ladder Match , in which The Bar Cesaro and Sheamus, as well as Enzo Amore and Big Cass also took part. As part of the Superstar Shake Up 2018, they then switched from Raw to SmackDown . Here they played a few tag team matches and were never seen in the title event, they made this displeasure known to the WWE and demanded your dismissal, which was rejected, since you have not been seen in any matches at SmackDown .
As part of the 2019 Superstar Shake-Up, Gallows switched from SmackDown to Raw on April 29, 2019 . After a while he founded the stable The OC together with AJ Styles and Karl Anderson. On July 29, 2019, he and his tag team partner Anderson won the Raw Tag Team Championship of The Revival, in which The Usos were also involved. The reign lasted 21 days and finally lost the title on August 19, 2019 against Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman . On October 31, 2019 he won a Tag Team Turmoil Match with Karl Anderson and thus crowned himself the best Tag Team in the world. Due to a wave of layoffs, he was released from the WWE on April 15, 2020.
