Ankang ( Chinese  安康 市 , Pinyin Ānkāng shì ) is a district-free city in the south of Shaanxi Province in the People's Republic of China . It is located at an altitude of 300 m in the valley of the Han Jiang River . The administrative area of ​​the city of Ankang has an area of ​​23,529 km² and about 2.63 million inhabitants (end of 2016).

The Liujiaying site from the Warring States Period and the Qin and Han dynasties (刘家 营 遗址, Liújiāyíng yízhǐ ) has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China since 2013 .

Administrative structure

At the district level, Ankang consists of a city ​​district and nine districts. These are:
