Anna Elfriede Ringsgwandl , formerly Ebner and née Daxlberger (* 1961 in Rosenheim ), is a German playwright, director and actress from the Chiemgau region. Together with her husband Erwin Ringsgwandl , she runs the Riedering theater tent , a theater for the performance of her own dialect pieces.

Life

Elfriede Ringsgwandl was born as the daughter of the baker Josef "Sepp" Daxlberger and his wife Maria, née Staber, and grew up in the Upper Bavarian town of Riedering (Rosenheim district). Here she completed an apprenticeship in her parents' bakery. As a teenager she arranged for small performances and musicals and made short films. At the age of 18 she had her first child with her daughter Maria Ebner, who is known through her leading role as "Himmegugga Maria" and is now mainly active in Berlin as a musician and action artist under her two first names Maria Imania .

In 1998 Elfriede Ringsgwandl helped found a theater association. Her first own play The Gypsy Farmer (94 players) was performed under her direction in Neukirchen am Simssee , in addition to the open-air theater at the time in Riedering . In 2002 she married the metal sculptor and musician Erwin Ringsgwandl. In the same year the E. & E. Ringsgwandl GbR (theater for the performance of own plays) was founded. In the years from 2002 up to and including 2012, performances took place in theater tents in various locations, at times also as a travel theater (e.g. Tollwood Festival , Munich).

On August 19, 2006, Elfriede Ringsgwandl's piece Da Himmegugga was premiered . In 2012, today's large “Theater-Palast-Zelt” was erected on the sports ground in Riedering: a four-masted tent with a 600 m² permanent play stage that was required for the performance of the play Gsindlkind (premiere on July 17th, 2012).

After just 900 performances of the piece Da Himmegugga , it had over 100,000 visitors. In mid-2016 there was the 1000th performance of the play. The Himmegugga Ensemble brought more than 1200 performances of the Himmegugga piece about the inventor Josef Hufnagel, called “ Da Himmegugga ”, from 2006 to 2018 and was attended by over 150,000 spectators.

Elfriede Ringsgwandl heads the theater ensemble with actors and members from four generations. Her four children and her extended family are also part of the team. Daughter Jenny, who was seen on her parents' stage for the first time at the age of one and a half, had her first film role in Hans Steinbichler's feature film An Unheard of Woman (2016). Elfriede Ringsgwandl works in the theater tent as a director and at the same time as a playwright and actress.

Early November 2011, reported the BR TV Elfriede Ringsgwandl with the contribution of womankind: Elfriede and their theater in the We-in-Bavaria -Epsiode feel like home (Moderator: Sabine Sauer ) and in September 2012 in the lifelines episode Elfriede in the Hat! (Direction and screenplay: Birgit Eckelt ). In 2015 she interviewed Jörg van Hooven, editor-in-chief of the local broadcaster münchen.tv , in an episode of his channel's Menschen in Munich series . On January 3, 2017, the radio broadcaster BR Heimat dedicated an episode of its Habe die Ehre! the story of Elfriede Ringsgwandl (moderation: Conny Glogger ). In October 2017, the regional broadcaster rfo reported on the Riedering theater tent in an episode of the Süd Wissen series .
